JCB Group has opened a new Crawley-based Euro Skoda Snow Hill showroom, following an investment of over £500,000.

Having previously served as a Peugeot facility, the Group invested over £500,000 to transform the space and quadruple it in size, making it one of the largest Skoda showrooms in the country.

The JCB Group’s managing director, Jonathan Bischoff, said: “We put a lot of time and effort into creating the best possible experience for both existing and potential Skoda customers in the Crawley area.”

It employs some 500 people, a number of whom recently joined are now working for Euro Skoda Snow Hill, with the launch creating opportunities for local people in a variety of customer-facing, technical, and other roles.

The JCB Group’s Skoda brand manager, Jon Thwaites, said: “Having previously shared our showroom with another brand, in a tight, ageing building, it was becoming difficult to provide the high level of service we’ve become known for, largely due to space restrictions.

“Our new, stand-alone, significantly larger premises allow for vastly improved parking facilities, a much larger array of new and used Skoda on display, a barista-style customer-waiting area with complimentary wifi and a separate dedicated area for car configuration, where customers can create their perfect car online.

“As one of the largest Skoda showrooms in the UK, customers will be spoilt for choice when visiting us.”

Euro Skoda Crawley Down’s offering is bolstered by a stock of Approved Used cars. The forecourt is dedicated to 120 pre-owned cars, while inside web-enabled touchscreens allow customers to search JCB Group’s 1,500-strong stock of used vehicles.

The workshop has also doubled in size with each bay equipped with the very latest diagnostic and servicing technology, all staffed by expert Service Technicians.
