Wessex Garages has installed a rapid electric vehicle charger at its Nissan dealership in Bristol.

The charge point can top up a Nissan Leaf from 0 – 80% in 30 minutes.

Terry Thurgood, general manager of the dealership on Pennywell Road, said: “It would take a normal charger eight hours to power up a car to 80%, so using our rapid one can save customers valuable time.

“Our new rapid charger means that we can provide our visitors with electricity for their Nissan Leaf and get them back on the roads quickly.

“People are welcome to use our facilities, including our free Wi-Fi while they wait and can also enjoy a complimentary coffee at the outlet.”

Wessex Garages has outlets in Bristol, Cardiff, Gloucester and Newport. It specialises in new and used car sales across South Wales and the South West.
