Ford remains in pole position to finish 2022 as the UK's best-selling automotive brand after growing its registrations once more in November.
The blue oval was not alone in delivering growth, however, as the sector’s OEM giants all contributed to last month's 23.5% year-on-year growth, reported by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) today.
Ford was November’s best-selling brand after its registrations rose by 111.1% to 11,078, leaving it 7% up year-to-date with 119,150 units finding new owners.
Volkswagen's registrations grew 59.3% to 13,757 units to leave it down 14.6% year-to-date at 118,732 units.
Also among last month’s winners were: Toyota, up 22.8% to 8,067; Audi, up 49% to 10,965; Nissan, up 85% at 9,208; and Dacia, up 160.2% at 3,229.
VW Group brand Skoda also delivered a considerable 51.9% rise in registrations, to 4,694 units.
Kia got a step closer to its target of reaching 100,000 sales in 2022, meanwhile, with the help of its the AM Awards 2022-winning Sportage SUV and Niro crossover line-up, delivering an 19% increase to 7,595 units in November.
The result leaves Kia 10% up year-to-date at 96,741 units, meaning that it must find just over 3,000 registrations in December to meet its goal.
Volvo’s growth story of recent years appears to be levelling off.
November saw the Swedish carmaker deliver 3,740 vehicles, resulting in a futher small decline of 1.32% on the same period last year.
It is now 26.9% down year-to-date at 32,764 units.
