The Ridgeway Group has appointed Scott McNicol as its new general manager for Mercedes-Benz of Southampton.

McNicol joined the Ridgeway Group in May 2011 as general manager at the Winchester site but will now also manage the Southampton site which is one of the largest Mercedes-Benz passenger car retailers.

Mercedes-Benz of Southampton has a team of over 75 including the market area’s centralised fleet team, sales administration hub and parts trade facility. Southampton retails in excess of 1,000 new and used Mercedes-Benz (and now Smart) and is also an AMG Performance Centre.

McNicol has over 24 years motor trade experience holding previous positions with Inchcape, Eden and Caffyns.

Ridgeway also has Mercedes-Benz passenger car retailers in Portsmouth and Chichester.
