Peugeot's new 208 supermini, the replacement for the 207, will be launched in the UK next summer in three and five-door body styles.
The 208 will be a five model range, four of which are equipped with the new generation Stop & Start System (e-HDi). The diesel range starts at 87g/km of CO2 (delivering fuel economy of 83.1 mpg) and there are no models that exceeds 99g/km CO2.
The 208 also introduces a new range of three-cylinder petrol engines, 1.0- and 1.2-litre VTi, which start at 99g/km of CO2 (delivering 65.7mpg).
More details on the 208 will be made available closer to its launch in the middle of 2012.

At long last Peugeot have joined the low emission train for their volume models. The 207 looked good, but was too big and heavy.
