Newly-launched car buying platform YesAuto claims to have launched the UK’s first online, virtual reality auto show – the YesAuto Car Show.
The online event is designed to help connect car buyers with sellers and dealers, allowing attendees to browse, buy, and book a test drive for the car they want.
YesAuto said the event provides an "innovative new way" to browse and buy cars from leading brands online and gives buyers more choice of models.
YesAuto officially launched in the UK last month (August), with the aim of attracting car buyers to dealerships through its online shop and car information hub.
Neil You, UK general manager at YesAuto, said: “We’re extremely excited to bring the YesAuto Virtual Car Show to the UK for the first time.
“The innovative auto experience is a fantastic opportunity for people to view the extensive range of brands and models YesAuto has to offer. Moreover, it encapsulates what makes YesAuto unique in the car buyer space – making the car buying experience as smooth, simple and accessible as possible.”
From virtual reality 360 panoramic view technology to test drive booking functions, users can see VR interior and exterior views of the car they are interested in purchasing, from their laptop, iPad, or mobile device.
With 19 showrooms on offer, attendees will be able to:
- Interact with virtual showroom hosts
- View the exterior and interior of 142 different virtual 3D car models, from economic to luxury sports cars
- Interact with 100 dealers and brands in real time, such as BMW, Land Rover, Aston Martin, Nissan and Fiat
- Discuss models for sale with key opinion leaders, including car influencers that will introduce the car unique selling points to visitors
The YesAuto Car Shows follows the cancellation of some of Europe’s biggest car shows, including the Geneva Motor Show 2020, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The event is free to attend and is available for four weeks from August 29.
