The shortlist for the industry’s first video awards has been published by organisers CitNOW, the exponent of automotive video technology.
The shortlist has been selected from hundreds of eligible entries from many leading dealer groups in the UK and additional overseas entries, with many dealers submitting multiple videos.
Several dealer groups have been successfully shortlisted for multiple awards, including Sytner, with five nominations in four categories, while Ridgeway and Dick Lovett have three and two nominations respectively.
A jury of five national experts in automotive sales, aftersales and the body shop and repair industry, including AM head of digital and associate editor Jeremy Bennett, presided over by CitNOW chairman and founder Andrew Howells will select the winners in seven categories:
- Best CitNOW workshop video
- Best CitNOW sales video
- Best CitNOW bodyshop video
- Best CitNOW web video
- Best overseas CitNOW video
- Most creative use of CitNOW video
- Best overall CitNOW video.
The jury meets tomorrow (July 1) in London to make their decisions.
The winners will then be revealed at the CitNOW Video Awards ceremony, at 195 Piccadilly, the home of BAFTA, on Wednesday, July 8.
Howells said: “The judges have been extremely impressed so far with the creativity, talent and variety of entries we have received.
“This is testament to CitNOW’s continuing work to encourage companies and professionals to embrace the use of video technology and make the most of the opportunities and benefits it offers, as well as showcasing best practice.”
