Dealers should ensure they have extra team members available to manage enquiries on Tuesdays, according to a new study from lead management business iTrackLEADS.
It examined data from 400 dealerships to find that the number of enquiries was 47% higher on Tuesdays than on Fridays. Saturday and Sunday proved to be the quietest days for enquiries throughout the week.
Commenting on the data, Adrian Favill, director of iTrackLEADS, said: “It’s important that leads are followed up promptly and enough resources are available to ensure this happens even on the busiest days. Data shows the chances of converting a potential lead into a successful sale increase by seven times when responses are received within just 30 minutes.”
The trend has evolved over time, with Monday being the busiest day of the week for enquiries in 2021 and 2022. The shift to Tuesday began in 2023 and is more pronounced this year.
Data from iTrackLEADS shows that around 78% of sales go to the dealer that reacts the quickest to an enquiry.
iTrackLEADS is part of Mad Devs, a technology company that supports over 1,500 dealers globally. It supports a mix of OEMs, franchised and independent retailers with increasing sales conversion rates to ensure compliance procedures are followed.
