Polestar has launched its range of tuning packages for the new Volvo XC60 SUV.

The performance arm of the Swedish manufacturer will soon be re-launched as a separate company - producing high-performance electric cars - but currently produces factory approved add-on enhancements.

With the Polestar powertrain optimisation the new Volvo XC60 T8 delivers 421PS, making it one of the most powerful Volvo models ever built.

Polestar says its optimisation improves five key areas of the powertrain while retaining the Volvo warranty, class-leading emission levels, consumption of 134mpg and a pure electric range of 28 miles.

”Our goal is to create usable performance in everyday driving situations for Volvo owners who want an enhanced driving experience,” said Henrik Fries, vice president, Research and Development at Polestar.

Polestar optimisation is available for all UK models of the XC60 at the point of sale or as post-sale add-on.
