Hendy Group has become the first franchised car retailer to offer a new car subscription offering through a partnership with newly relaunched Karzoom.
A new insurance solution from mobility focused insurance provider Zego has allowed Karzoom to transition from a daily rental to a car subscription solution in an evolution AM discussed with co-founder and former ASE chief commercial officer Mike Fazal last month.
And long-time Karzoom partner Hendy Group will be the first to serve up the new solution, monetising a fleet of vehicles through its HendyGo brand.
The AM100 car retail group’s commercial director Mark Busby said: “Our exciting new partnership with Karzoom allows us to provide our customers with a unique, new way to access flexible car usage.
“As customer mobility needs evolve, at Hendy, we are committed to delivering the right solutions to enable that to happen in a seamless fashion.
“Customers seeking a more flexible vehicle use solution will be able to take a car on subscription on a short-term basis and have the option to move between vehicles to suit their mobility needs.
“The hirer can choose from a range of manufacturers and models, with all cars available on a fully-inclusive basis and typically less than one-year-old.”
Karzoom’s new mobility offering will deliver a subscription service across multiple car brands at multiple locations across the UK in partnership with franchised car retailers.
Hendy, which first partnered with Karzoom in September last year, is the platform’s South Coast partner and will offer car subscriptions via its own website.
The solution provides motorists with a vehicle on an ‘all-inclusive’ basis, on month-to-month subscription, with vehicles being delivered direct to customers home address for a fixed fee.
On the South Coast, Hendy’s subscription service launches with several models, with everything from small city cars to large SUVs and electric vehicles (EV) from its portfolio of franchised car brands, which includes Mazda, Ford, Kia, Renault and Toyota.
Fazal, the co-founder and managing director of Karzoom, said: “We are really excited to pivot to subscription and re-launching our services with such a reputable dealership group, and look forward to launching car subscription service along the South Coast region.
“We are already in discussions with several dealer groups to take on other regions across the UK and we expect to be live with those new dealer partners during the early part of Q4 of this year.”
