TrustFord has been awarded the Payroll Giving Diamond Award 2021 in recognition of its commitment to fostering a culture of philanthropy in the workplace.

The accolade is awarded to companies in recognistion of employee participation in Payroll Giving of at least 30%.

The Ford of Britain-owned AM100 car retail group said all colleagues joining TrustFord are invited to contribute through payroll either to their chosen charity or to the group’s preferred charity, Ben.

In February 2021, the company raised £75k by participating in ‘Breakout for Ben’s Active challenge’ to help the automotive sector charity bridge a £1 million funding shortfall brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, bringing the total raised over the past three years to £300k.

Breakout for Ben had previously been operated annually by TrustFord but went industry-wide in a bid to raise extra funds for the charity.

TrustFord’s Trust also contributed to a number of small charities across their communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Stuart Foulds, chairman and chief executive officer at TrustFord, said: “Over the last 12 months, the need for charities such as Ben to stay supported and operating with all important funds has become even more imperative, so I was delighted the TrustFord family embraced our principle of care and were able to support their efforts in raising money and giving back through our Payroll Giving scheme.”
