CitNow has announced the shortlist for its 2018 Video Awards ahead of the ceremony in July.

The shortlisted entries will compete to win in the workshop, sales, overseas and most creative categories, as well as the coveted best overall CitNOW award.

The awards received over 948 personalised video presentations, in many cases retailer groups demonstrated consistent best practice across their sites, with some achieving multiple nominations across different categories, including TrustFord Belfast and TrustFord Tamworth who will compete to win in the best workshop CitNOW category.

CitNOW’s chief executive Alistair Horsburgh (pictured) said: “Once again we’ve been overwhelmed with both the quality and quantity of the video entries we’ve received.

“Our expert judging panel have cast an eagle eye over the shortlisted entries, andall have been hugely impressed by the standards of videos being delivered through our Workshop and Sales platforms.

“Each year we see CitNOW video nominations from retailers which demonstrate refreshing innovation underpinned by excellent best-practice.

"But this year the quality of videos was outstanding, showing just how far dealerships have come in embracing the technology for the benefit of both customers and businesses.”

Lookers is among the dealerships to beat, with four outlets competing to win across the sales, workshop and most creative categories with videos featuring Jaguar Land Rover, Seat and Nissan.

Prestige independent retailer Alexanders Prestige will be in the running for the sales category, whilst two Renault dealerships will hope to show they have found the most creative use for the automotive video platform.

The shortlisted entries for the ‘most creative use of CitNOW video’ category demonstrates the limitless potential for personalisation in videos.

Shortlisted videos in the category this year included a CitNOW tailored towards a deaf customer and a creative reveal video from an overseas dealership.

A judging panel of automotive experts, including Steve Nash the chief executive of IMI, Jeremy Bennett the associate editor of AM and Sabina Hegarty the managing director of Calibre Group Solutions, reviewed the shortlisted video across each category.
