James Walker (pictured) has been appointed to the new position of VP banking alliances at iVendi as the company increases its partnerships with motor finance companies and banks.

Walker heads up the motor retail technology company's banking alliances team, which builds relationships with the lenders to which it provides technology.

He has spent the last 13 years at Santander Consumer Finance, rising to become global account director, managing international relationships for digital retailers and marketplaces.

Walker said: “There’s a real energy, commitment and creativity at iVendi which has resulted in the creation of what I believe is a new, market-leading proposition for lenders, dealers and consumers in the motor finance sector, which resulted in a number of key sign-ups during the final quarter of 2024.

“My aim is to foster strong and mutually beneficial relationships with our finance partners, showing them how iVendi’s new point of sale products can contribute to their growth in an efficient and compliant manner, backed up with the deep data insights we can deliver.”

Darren Sinclair, chief commercial officer (CCO) at iVendi, added: “Our relationships with the financial sector are crucial to our current and future success, and James has the knowledge and experience to maximise our opportunities.

“We are very pleased to welcome him to the company and are sure he will make a considerable contribution as we continue to expand our lender partnerships rapidly through our new technology during 2025.”
