Dublin-based commercial vehicle distributor Harris Group has charged Andrew Lawson with leading lead the company's growth initiatives and overseeing its UK dealer network.

Lawson’s appointment as managing director comes as part of a larger shift within Harris Group, which includes bringing its UK and Irish marketing teams in-house and adding a new legal counsel to strengthen governance.

With newly appointed marketing managers for both Harris Maxus UK and Harris Group Ireland, the company aims to bolster its promotional capabilities and streamline operations.

Lawson’s leadership is also expected to strengthen Harris Group’s position within the electric vehicle (EV) sector.

Group managing director Brian Patterson said: "Our commitment to strengthening Harris Group’s foundations and positioning the company for a dynamic future is deeply rooted in our history and vision."

He will lead a dedicated Harris Maxus UK team and play a key role in supporting the company’s dealer partners and expanding market presence.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to work with our talented team and dealer partners to deliver innovative, customer-focused solutions that will drive profitable growth for Maxus and our dealer network,” said Lawson.

Patterson added: "Since Pino founded the company in 1961, we’ve grown into a market leader across Ireland, the UK, and Malta.
