Greenhous Group has opened its first Leapmotor location at its showroom in Telford.
The dealership will now offer four manufacturers including Citroën, Vauxhall, Peugeot vans, and now Leapmotor to Telford and the surrounding areas.
Founded in 2015, Leapmotor focuses on the production of affordable and technologically advanced electric vehicles.
In 2023, Stellantis invested in Leapmotor, which helped enable them to enter the European automotive market.
Leapmotor will join Greenhous Telford with two new vehicles, the C10 SUV and the T03 Hatchback.
Each of these vehicles is offered at a competitive price point within their respective niches with the T03 priced from just £15,995.
Stellantis has told Automotive Management earlier this year that it is putting a retail network of up to 50 retail sites in place across the UK.
Sales of Leapmotor models will be through a traditional franchised dealership model, and only Stellantis brands such as Peugeot, Citroen, DS, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Vauxhall, and Maserati dealers will be appointed Leapmotor franchise points.
A Stellantis spokesman, explained to AM that the opportunity for Stellantis franchisees would “provide complementary, additional volume and profit opportunities using the existing, known channel business and logistics channels with Stellantis UK”.
Since its inception, Leapmotor now ranks as the fourth-largest new energy vehicle startup by sales in China, selling over 400,000 electric vehicles, a milestone its chief executive Zhu Jiangming said was a sign of Leapmotor’s readiness to enter the European market.
