Ferrari’s UK car retail network is set to lure the automotive apprentices of the future with a series of open days showcasing job opportunities within the Italian supercar manufacturer’s dealership facilities.

A total of nine franchised retailers, including top AM100 retail groups HR Owen, JCT600 and Meridien Modena, who have been recent investors in their Ferrari showroom facilities, are among those that will host the series of events which are set to talke place throughout Apprenticeship Week 2020.

Each Ferrari dealer will invite students from selected local schools in their area to visit the service centres and learn about Ferrari technology and potential job opportunities in their local dealership, targeting students who have achieved at least five GCSEs.

The initiative is designed to boost the networks recruitments of apprentices into the following roles:

Service Technician – 3 year apprenticeship

Service Advisor – 2 year apprenticeship

Parts Advisor – 2 year apprenticeship

A statement issued by Ferrari this week said that each of the apprenticeship roles offered by its retail network includes full-time employment with on-the-job training carried out under the watchful eye of Ferrari Master Technicians.

Ferrari North Europe also provides additional classroom, theory and practical training at the company’s Training Centre in Berkshire.

It added: “Subject to satisfactory completion of the training programme, Apprentices are offered full-time roles with their local Ferrari dealership.

“In fact, the Ferrari North Europe Apprenticeship programme has become the de facto route into the brand, with many employees starting out as an apprentice subsequently moving into other roles in the business, such as workshop manager, service manager, or even sales executive.”

Last September six apprentice Ferrari supercar service technicians attended the Silverstone round of the Ferrari Challenge UK race series for a special graduation ceremony.
