Glyn Hopkin has appointed former Marshall director Paul Stapylton as its new group operations director.
Stapylton joins from Marshall Motor Group where he was franchise director.
Marshall acquired Motorline in October 2021 and Stapylton had been a director at Motorline for over 15 years, working closely with brands like Honda, Nissan, Toyota, Lexus, Volkswagen and Skoda.
In a post on LinkedIn, Stapylton (pictured left) said: "As my time at Motorline/Marshall comes to an end this week I reflect on what has been an absolutely fantastic career spanning over 18 years of my life.
"I have met so many great people along the way and had the privilege of working with some great OEMs but all good things come to an end as they say.
"It is with absolute pleasure and thanks to the entire Hyundai team that after a tough 2024 their efforts have been rewarded with finishing first within the Hyundai Group Balanced Scorecard league.
"I salute your dedication and commitment to succeeding in all that you do."
Stapylton's appointment follows on from Tim Murphy joining the independent group as chief operations officer (COO) in September last year.
Murphy was also a former director at Marshall and Motorline.
Glyn Hopkin operates 35 dealerships across London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Suffolk, and ranks 37th among the top 200 dealer groups nationally.
