Volkswagen UK has named Lookers Northallerton as its top-performing UK car dealer during a COVID-hit 2020 trading period.

The AM100 PLC car retail group's Yorkshire franchised site pipped Cox Motor Group's Lancaster VW franchise and Swansway Group's Wrexham business to the overall title as the OEM marked the successes of its 213-strong network with a virtual awards ceremony.

Lookers Northallerton was also named as the top retailer for new car sales and aftersales.

Among the lists of top performers, Volkswagen UK also recognised notable achievements from across the retailer network, including consistently high-performing sites and individuals who acted as a lifeline to key workers during the difficult first lockdown.

The event also covered other criteria, as well as the Regional Manager Special Recognition segment highlighting remarkable achievements.
