Hendy Group has announced the completion of its multi-million pound dealership development in Hampshire - opening new Honda, Kia and Mazda showrooms.

Located at Leigh Road, Eastleigh the one-hectare site was developed through a joint initiative with Eastleigh Borough Council, and has created jobs for 18 new service advisors, vehicle technicians and sales executives.

Hendy Group’s director of systems and resources, John Hendy, said: “We’re delighted with our three new state-of-the-art dealerships which provide superb customer facilities but are also providing valuable employment in the area.

"This investment in new facilities for our franchised partners is a key part of our overall plans.”

The AM100 group's current site in Leigh Road will be re-furbished to improve its support for Ford cars and commercial vehicles in the area.

The new showrooms have space for 27 new cars, 120 used cars and a 20-bay workshop.

Features include solar panels on the roof and electric charge points to meet demand from drivers switching to hybrid and electric cars.

The 124,000 sq-ft site has a ground floor main building area, including workshop and dealerships, of 33,000 sq-ft.

Facilities include new car showrooms for each brand and parts storage areas on the ground floor.

There are office and maintenance facilities on the first floor.

A newly built used cars sales facility is adjacent to the showrooms, while to the rear there is a service yard with an external car wash and valet bay, and a block paved external surface at the front of the building.
