Dinnages Garages has achieved a listing among its home county’s top 50 companies in the Sussex Super Growth Awards 2018.

The awards, created to recognise the county’s high-growth, wealth-creating, job-generating businesses in Sussex, assess a business’s performance over a four-year accounting period using information filed at Companies House.

Haywards Heath-based Dinnages Garages took the 27th spot in the list with 59.6% growth recorded over this duration.

Established in 1935, the family-run car retail operation represents Ford and Volvo franchises and now employs 140 staff across five sites.

In its last set of published accounts – for the year to December 31, 2016 – Dinnages Garages Ltd recorded a turnover of £62.35 million, up 9% on 2015’s £57.26 million, and a profit before tax of £823,000, 41% up on the £585,000 of the previous year.

The growth marked a huge increase since the group’s £35.87 million turnover of 2012, when it achieved PBT of £288,000.
