Shoppers have been getting a feel for Formula One and a potential next new car purchase thanks to a pop-up shop opened by Sinclair Mercedes-Benz.
Coffee and a new car might feature on the shopping list of visitors to St David’s Dewi Sant shopping centre in Cardiff thanks as the retailer returned for a second summer stint at a store across from the site’s Costa coffee outlet.
Visitors can view two cars within the mini-showroom – an A-Class hatchback and GLA SUV – and explore other models via interactive stations.
Test drives can also be arranged via the in-store team, who can book an appointment at the group’s Mercedes-Benz retail outlet at Cardiff Gate Business Park.
Sinclair Mercedes-Benz and smart director Andy Sinclair said: “We generated a tremendous response with our first St David’s pop-up shop which attracted more than 25,000 visitors.”
“It was fantastic for us to showcase our brands in a prime city centre location and in a completely different setting to our usual showroom environment.
“Now with an enhanced facility that offers an outstanding retail experience to visitors whether they are interested in a new car or simply want to buy the latest Mercedes-Benz merchandise, we hope to attract even more people through our doors.”
An array of merchandise bearing Mercedes-Benz’s three-pointed star can be purchased, including Formula One accessories such as the baseball caps worn by three-time world champion and the current leader of the 2016 motor racing championship Lewis Hamilton.
There is also a replica Grand Prix car which customers can take selfies with for a weekly social media prize draw competition.
The Sinclair Mercedes-Benz ‘pop-up shop’ will be open until the end of August.
