XPeng has officially kicked-off UK sales with its all-electric G6 SUV as it gears up to open over 20 dealerships before the end of 2025.
Pre-orders for the G6 are now open, with prices starting from £39,990 and deliveries to begin in March 2025.
Dr. Brian Gu, vice chairman and president of XPeng said its UK launch and partnership with International Motors Ltd (IML), which is its distribution partner in the UK, marks a major milestone in the brand’s international expansion strategy.
William Brown, managing director of IML, UK, told Automotive Management earlier this year, that the brand will expand in a measured and sustainable way.
He said: "We're really excited about the opportunity that XPeng represents," said Brown. "They've got a fantastic product lineup that we believe will resonate strongly with UK consumers, particularly as we approach the 2030 ban on new petrol and diesel car sales."
XPeng is planning to expand its range of vehicles that are offered in the UK and showcased a glimpse of other models, including the P7+ saloon, G9 flagship SUV, X9 seven-seater, as well as the rather experimental X2 flying car, from its electric vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) subsidiary.
Since entering the European market in Norway in 2021, Xpeng has launched Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Ireland and now in the UK, with plans for further expansion.
Founded in 2014, XPeng has delivered more than 620,000 EVs across global markets since launch.
In January 2025, XPeng announced two strategic partnerships with Volkswagen and BP Pulse, to not only create a super-fast charging network but also explore other services together.
At the end of 2025, Xpeng aims to expand its presence in more than 60 countries and regions.
