Peugeot has launched a new media campaign in the UK which goes live today (May 13).
‘Confidence. Built in’ is the new message Peugeot will use for its ads and the 308 GT Line is the first model to be promoted. Further campaigns will also use the ‘Built in’ tag line.
The campaign will run across TV, radio, press and social media and is designed to encourage potential customers to take a "closer look" at Peugeot.
The centre-piece of this campaign is a new TV advert, produced specifically for the UK market.
Filmed in Scotland and featuring actor Peter Mullan, the advert has been produced by the UK team to address local requirements for customers buying a 308.
Mark Pickles, marketing director at Peugeot UK, said: “We have enjoyed formulating this UK campaign as we are entirely confident in the excellence of our products and simply wish to convey this sentiment to our prospective customers.
“We are looking at ways to bring our products to the scrutiny of people who might otherwise be distracted by the promises of other brands.”
The campaign runs from today until June 30th, and will be reprised later in the autumn to maximise awareness.
To support the campaign, Peugeot is offering the 308 with a 48-hour test drive.

The new Peugeot ad is rubbish! French cars in the UK have to sell by being a bit of 'foreign' curiosity. Take the 2CV - quirky but much loved! To ask a Scot to impart quirkiness to a brand is just silly. Then again - maybe that's where the French sense of humour lies?!?
