Car care brand Autoglym is launching a new series of hands-on training courses designed to enhance the skills of professional detailers, bodyshops, and vehicle workshops.
These courses will take place in Autoglym’s indoor training facility at its headquarters in Letchworth Garden City in Hertfordshire which offers a fully equipped with wash bay facilities, classrooms, and tools.
Autoglym has assembled a team of technicians and instructors with over 100 years of combined experience to deliver the following training.
- Machine Polishing Training Course: For those looking to master rotary and dual-action polishing machines, this course teaches techniques for clear coat rectification and how to remove common paint defects like swirls, scratches, and bird lime etching. Attendees will also learn how to achieve a flawless finish while preserving the integrity of the lacquer clearcoat, preventing invalidation of paintwork warranties.
- Professional Process Training Course: A two-day programme for detailing businesses, motor retailers, and vehicle workshops, this course focuses on time-saving, cost-efficient techniques. Topics include interior cleaning, exterior washing techniques, wheel and wheel-arch cleaning, paint rectification by hand, and paint protection. Attendees will also learn best practices for traffic film removal, pre-wash application, and cleaning door shuts and apertures.
Each course includes personal protective equipment, parking, lunch, and refreshments.
