Aston Barclay auction facility in Leeds is to permanently close with all commercial vehicle sales relocating to Donington Park.

The move aims to centralise and strengthen Aston Barclay’s operations, creating larger, high-impact sales events that provide greater stock variety and enhanced opportunities for buyers.

Aston Barclay has also announced a new and improved sales programme set to launch on February 3 with Donington Park established as the company’s dedicated hub for commercial vehicle sales.

The refreshed programme will feature 12 weekly sales across fleet, dealer, and commercial categories, offering a broader selection of stock to buyers in the UK vehicle remarketing sector.

Greg MacLeod, executive chairman of Aston Barclay, said: “Our enhanced sales programme represents a step forward in delivering a premium experience for our customers. By consolidating our commercial vehicle operations at Donington Park, we are establishing a central hub that combines accessibility and efficiency in the heart of the UK.

"The decision to close Leeds was not made lightly, but it ensures we can focus on delivering bigger, better sales that meet the evolving needs of our customers. We look forward to welcoming everyone to Donington for the launch event on February 3, both in person and online.”
