BMW Group has signed a new deal with DHL for the company to deliver parts to its 116 dealers in the UK.

The deal is for six years and DHL will now manage the group’s UK aftermarket parts distribution.

DHL will deliver parts through the night for the next working day. DHL says it means that 26% of the retailers will receive their orders before 6.00am and 63% before 7.30am.

The delivery company uses a ‘track and trace’ system with parts scanned at each point in delivery. BMW Group and DHL then monitor the status using a web portal which provides a visual of live activity, historic delivery and collection performance.
