Vauxhall's top-of-the-range Adam S made its debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, yesterday.
Previewed at this year's Geneva Motor Show, the Adam S features a new sleek design with a 1.4-litre turbocharged ECOTEC engine, producing 148bhp – it also gets a new performance chassis and the braking system from the Vauxhall Astra VXR.
It delivers 50 per cent more power and 70 per cent more torque than its naturally-aspirated 1.4-litre stable-mate. Combined with a six-speed manual gearbox, it propels the ADAM S from 0-62mph in 8.5 seconds and to a top speed of 124mph.
It’s power is supported by a new performance chassis, developed especially for the Adam S, and large VXR sport brakes – custom-made for its standard 17-inch or optional 18-inch alloys.
Red 'n‘ Roll-design and IntelliLink connectivity
Exterior updates include front lip spoiler, side sill moldings, rear spoiler and an extended rear bumper cut-out with a visible, bold exhaust tailpipe.
A total of ten body paint choices and four further roof combinations are available with the Red 'n‘Roll roof design reserved exclusively for Adam S customers.
Features include LED daytime running and rear tail lights, electronic climate control, IntelliLink system – providing USB and Bluetooth connectivity, satellite navigation, audio streaming, seven speakers and a 7-inch high-definition colour touch-screen.
The integration of Apple iOS devices into the system enables use of the Siri eyes free voice control function.
Orders will open for the Adam S in January, next year.

Does anyone know if this model, unlike the others, is safe to drive or is it also included in the Safety recall?
