Vauxhall dealers in the UK are now taking online service bookings with customers able to book in with 48 hours' notice.
A new section of Vauxhall’s website prompts customers to enter their registration number and mileage, or select their car from a drop down menu, before finding out the exact price of a fixed price service or repair which starts from £99. The owner has to enter their personal details to confirm the booking and only pays once the work has been completed.
Owners know what they'll pay before they hand their car over.
Andy Biernacki, Vauxhall aftersales marketing manager, said: “We've found that roughly a third of our customers like to book their car in for work outside of normal business hours.
"The new Vauxhall MasterFit online system takes the hassle out of booking a service, and gives our customers peace of mind that they're getting great value from their local retailer."
All Vauxhall dealers in the UK will offer online service booking but it is up to individuals dealers if they want to incorporate the online booking portal into their own websites.
Vauxhall told AM: "There has been a positive uptake from the network."
