Vauxhall has appointed two bodyshop inspection managers to oversee and monitor standards compliance as part of a restructuring of its bodyshop field support team.

Sale Britten is responsible for the northern half of the UK from the Midlands, while Robert Dewe looks after the south. Their task is to ensure that the 165-strong Vauxhall Approved Accident Repair franchised network is the best place to repair Vauxhall vehicles.

The restructured field team has three bodyshop support managers to provide retailer bodyshops with concentrated support and commercial back-up on all aspects of repair and refinishing, including internal bodyshop processes, estimating techniques and marketing.

Stuart McInnes is responsible for Scotland, Northern Ireland and north east England, while Andy Broughton will oversee Wales, the south west and north west.

Jason Lea will look after retailers in the Midlands, East Anglia and the south east.

Vauxhall says the inspections will ensure standards of repair and service are to the required level. Its spokesman insists there will be no threat of termination – sites that fail the audit will receive training and help.
