Armor Holdings, a manufacturer of vehicle armour systems and security products to the US military and law enforcement sectors, has launched the IE-Defense System, which it claims is the world’s first SUV and commercial vehicle armour system to protect against attacks from improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

It protects the vehicle’s occupants against an attack and subsequent attacks by assault rifle with armour-piercing bullets.
