Audi has increased the availability of its two-litre turbocharged FSI engine in the A3 range and quattro four-wheel drive technology for the A8.

The FSI unit was previously sold only in Sport versions of the A3, but as of this week it's being offered in standard form too. The non-Sport cars have front-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission, and this configuration is also being offered on the Sport for the first time.

Prices are £19,070 for the A3 2.0 T FSI hatchback and £21,070 for the new Sport. Both cars can also be bought in Sportback form for an additional £500.

Meanwhile, the 3.2-litre FSI V6 engine recently introduced to the A8 range is now being made available with four-wheel drive for the first time. Unlike the front-wheel drive versions, which use the Multitronic CVT, the quattro cars have a six-speed Tiptronic automatic. Prices are £49,830 for the standard car and £52,330 for the Sport.
