Fiat fared badly in the overall manufacturers' table, finishing 29th while Alfa Romeo had an even poorer showing, coming last in 33rd place. Things did not improve in the customer satisfaction survey with Fiat having three models in the bottom six and both the Alfa 147 and 156 finishing in the bottom 11.
Despite the study, which measures factors such as build quality and dealer service, Fiat is adamant it is heading in the right direction.
“Aftersales makes a healthy contribution to our profitability,” says David Collis, aftersales director for Fiat Auto UK. “We are making great steps forward with our aftersales programme to achieve greater customer satisfaction, but we are not stopping there. We want nothing less than customer delight.”
