GM Daewoo is sending out a brochure to 20,000 independent workshops reminding them it has cut the price of its parts by an average of 34%.

Savings include 34% off exhausts, 43% off brake pad sets and 56% off timing belts. Panel and crash repair components have been reduced by 35%.

“Now the car parc has reached almost 200,000 it is time to develop a relationship with the trade to take advantage of this business,” says John Sanderson, aftersales director for GM Daewoo. The parts will be available from all of GM Daewoo’s 90 dealers, shipped from a central warehouse in Luton. The company claims 97% availability.

It is also selling a range of remanufactured engines and transmissions and has launched a programme to release more remanufactured components over the coming months, starting with steering racks, available by the end of the year.
