Insurance giant Royal & SunAlliance is to speed up the authorisation process by adopting AudaAudit, an automated estimate review system from Audatex.

AudaAudit enables assessments from approved repairers to be automatically evaluated against RSA's own pre-established criteria, speeding up the authorisation process.

The insurer, which owns four bodyshops under its Project Storm operation, expects AudaAudit to increase the productivity of motor engineers by eliminating much of the basic administration associated with checking a repair estimate.

Trevor Davies, RSA group motor engineers manager, said: “AudaAudit will speed-up our claims handling process and provide faster estimate authorisations to repairers. This will translate to quicker throughput of repairs, reduced courtesy car costs and further improvements in our service to policyholders.”

RSA is planning further projects involving Audatex 'end-to-end' claims handling technology.

Paul Tucker, Audatex managing director, said: “Royal & SunAlliance is keen to embrace new technology as a means of fulfilling its corporate goals. With AudaAudit, we are confident that Royal & SunAlliance, its partners and its customers, will benefit from faster, more efficient processes, communications and all round service.”
