Pinewood Computer Solutions has become the official supplier of dealer management systems to Ford Motor Company.

The approval means that Pinewood joins a select group of suppliers authorised to provide dealer management systems to Ford's 744 UK dealerships as well as European outlets.

Neville Briggs, Pinewood's managing director, said: "This has been a major undertaking for us that has required intensive effort from our programming team. In fact, we have completed integration with Ford systems in record time."

Pinewood's approved product, the C.A.R.S dealer management system, now integrates with Ford internal systems including online parts orderding, Vista vehicle ordering, GWE warranty submissions and Microcat menu and parts pricing.
