TrustFord has won the Community Hero Award for the second year in a row as the business continues to view positivity and care as part of its core values.

The group has a network of champions who take the lead on a variety of fundraising initiatives, while the TrustFord Trust helps individuals and organisations on a case-by-case basis.

Ben, the automotive charity, continues to be a huge focus for TrustFord and the teams across the group have helped to raise tens of thousands of pounds through its fundraising activities in 2023.

Employees are encouraged to give back to local communities with marketing budgets available to support or sponsor community-based causes.

TrustFord’s passion for helping and supporting local communities starts at board and leadership level. The allocation of financial resources, personnel and time to community projects is a tangible demonstration of the leadership’s commitment to community.

Stuart Mustoe, TrustFord’s chief executive, frequently visits sites up and down the country where he leads by example, such as joining in with Breakout for Ben activities and volunteer days.

Sharon Ashcroft, TrustFord HR director, sits on the board of trustees for Ben and applications made to the group’s not-for-profit projects are reviewed carefully by the chairman and marketing director.

The senior management team always acknowledges and celebrates the achievements of employees involved in community projects, reinforcing the importance of community engagement.

TrustFord’s community support is central to its purpose, principles and ambition (PPA) and it has created an incredible sense of togetherness and solidarity throughout the organisation.

Employee morale and engagement has improved due to the community initiatives TrustFord involves itself with. So, not only does its work benefit the individuals and organisations it supports, it also defines TrustFord as a business.
