The Polo has got a massive 34 year history.
It’s an important model for Volkswagen in the UK with 1,059,730 units sold since it first went on sale and 35,710 units sold last year.
This fifth-generation version has taken on some of the more aggressive stylings of its Golf and Scirocco siblings, but the formula hasn’t been tweaked too drastically.
Build quality is still excellent, even on the middle SE trim.
VW is targeting sales of 5,000 this year since it went on sale on October 16.
Dealers are expected to sell 38,000 units in 2010.
