Subaru's new Impreza WRX saloon is now available as a limited edition model with world rally car styling and the option of a performance upgrade.
Only 300 cars will be available in this UK-only variant.
The car, known as the UK300, is a joint project between engineers at Subaru (UK) and Prodrive, in Banbury, with styling work by Peter Stevens who designed the McLaren F1 and Subaru WRC rally car.
Key changes include new headlamps, with black gloss shells and twin high intensity Hella lights identical to the rally car. The front spoiler gets a black gloss extension and the standard boot spoiler is replaced by a larger high-riding rally style version with aerofoil tips at each side.
The UK300 (pictured) also has gold-coloured 10-spoke alloys. Inside there are blue suede-effect seats, the front being bucket type, plus deep pile carpets and a limited edition numbered plaque.
The optional performance pack provides a 245PS and 261lb-ft power boost. In-gear acceleration improvements means almost three seconds have been taken off the 20 to 75mph time in third gear, down to 11 seconds.. The car costs £24,995 OTR, £3,500 more than the standard Impreza WRX saloon.
