The newest member of the Škoda Fabia family, the Fabia Saloon (pictured) goes on sale from 15 August, with on-the-road prices starting at £9,100.

The Fabia Saloon shares the same attributes as the hatchback and estate with the added convenience of a larger boot.

The Fabia Saloon is available in one trim level and comes with power steering, electric front windows, height/reach adjustable steering wheel, remote central locking and driver's airbag as standard. There is a choice of three engines including an automatic version; the 1.4 16V (100 bhp) petrol engine, the 1.9 Sdi (64 bhp) diesel engine and the 1.4 16V (75bhp) available with automatic transmission. Optional metallic paint and air conditioning give buyers additional choice.

The Fabia Saloon has 438 litres of boot space, 12 litres more than its sister, the Fabia Estate. With the rear seats down, boot space is expanded to 789 litres.

Pricing for the Fabia Saloon starts at £9,100 for the 1.9 SDI, £9,400 for the 1.4 16V and £9,900 the 1.4 16v automatic. The SDI falls into the lowest tax group as its CO2 emissions of 132g/km place it in VED Band A. In terms of price structure, the Fabia Saloon fits between the hatchback and the estate. All prices are on-the-road and include Škoda's three year, unlimited mileage warranty, three years' roadside assistance, 10 year anti-corrosion warranty, and 12 months' road tax and first registration fee.
