The Seat Ibiza Cupra R is now on sale, priced £17,990. Only 75 of the 200 scheduled for production are set for sale in the UK.
Equipped with a 180bhp 1.8 20VT engine, with five-speed box, the 3-door Cupra R accelerates from 0-62mph in 7.2 seconds and has a top speed of 140mph.
The suspension has been stiffened by 10%, the body lowered by 7mm and the track widened by 6mm. It has air-cooled disc brakes on specially customised Seat Sport racing alloys fitted with Pirelli tyres.
The car (pictured below) is available in three colours, yellow, black and red, with tinted windows, honeycomb front grille, body-coloured bumper mouldings and the red letter 'R' badging.
Standard equipment includes Autoclima (air con and electronic temperature control), driver and front seat passenger airbags, ABS with traction control, electric front windows, remote central locking and interior monitoring alarm. Leather and cloth sport seats have the Seat Sport logo woven in the back, red seat belts and there's red stitching on the leather steering wheel, handbrake grip and gearlever cover.
