Since the Mini brand was re-launched by BMW in 2001, there has been much speculation about how its iconic design will be retained in future models.
This concept hints at a rebirth of the old Mini Traveller.
The three-door estate is built on an extended wheelbase and has vertically split double doors at the rear, together with a slide-out floor for ease of loading.
Its new headlights and seamless front end give an indication of the next generation Mini range. Michael Ganal from the BMW AG board admits this concept “could become a third face for the brand”, sitting alongside the Mini hatch and Convertible.
“The ongoing success of the Mini brand provides a strong motivation for us to continue expanding the Mini family and offer new versions,” he says.
