Four months after its UK launch, Daihatsu's new five-door, five-seat YRV compact range has been expanded to include a chunky four-wheel-drive flagship and a £7,995 price-leader.
The additions coincide with a July 1-September 30 offer of a £1,000 rebate and five-year, unlimited mileage warranty, roadside assistance and free servicing package on Premium and F-Speed models.
The new entry level Radical costs £1,445 less on the road than the existing 'base' model, although the £8,495 Radical2, which has central locking, electric rear windows, body-coloured side skirts and a split-folding rear seat, is expected to be the biggest seller.
With specification based on the Premium, the YRV 4trak is priced at £10,995. The maker claims its viscous coupling-based four-wheel-drive system demands only a small penalty in fuel economy and performance.
