Review
The last month has been an interesting one for our Suzuki S-Cross and by that I mean it sat in a parking space for a week because I had lost the keys.
It is baffling how a set of car keys can go missing between my parking space and my front door (about 10 metres, if that). I even looked through my rubbish bin, without success.
Thankfully, Suzuki was on hand and sent me a spare key out straight away.
I was not the only one happy with the manufacturer.
Suzuki performed very well in the latest results of the National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA) Winter 2015 Dealer Attitude Survey, moving up two places to third position.
Mercedes, Kia, Suzuki and Audi were recorded as the top four franchises.
Overall in the survey, dealers returned an average score of 4.9 out of 10 when asked how satisfied they were with their new car targeting process.
Only four franchises returned a score of 7.0 and above. Suzuki was the top scoring franchise, with a score of 8.0.
The survey asked how satisfied dealers were that the volume target aspirations of their manufacturer were realistic? Suzuki scored highest overall here, with a score of 8.5.
The manufacturer almost matched that score on how likely dealers were to recommend the brand – with a score of 8.6.
Dealers were also asked how satisfied they were with their manufacturer’s procedures and controls on their business, and whether these were fair and reasonable. The Japanese manufacturer scored highest again out of the 29 manufacturers analysed, with a total of 8.4.
What’s been said about the Suzuki S-cross
Auto Express
While not the most distinctive-looking crossover, the S-Cross is a modern and well-proportioned design. A prominent grille is flanked by large headlamps, plus there’s the usual SUV-inspired plastic body cladding.
A total of 31 of Suzuki’s dealers responded to the 2015 winter NFDA survey, from a total network of 160.
What Car?
The S-Cross is a convincing family car that should definitely be on your shortlist if you want a practical car that’s cheap to run. You won’t get much of a discount, but comparatively low prices mean it’s good value for money.
