Warranty Solutions Group (WSG) has partnered with motor factor business GSF Car Parts as part of its used vehicle preparation and repair programme.

The new collaboration sees GSF Car Parts take a pivotal role in WSG’s Prep4Less programme as the largest partner.

The Prep4Less programme is a new initiative from WSG, launched nationally earlier this month following a successful pilot.

It is aimed at addressing two critical challenges for dealers: escalating pre-sale vehicle preparation costs and post-sale repair expenses.

GSF Car Parts supplies vehicle parts, consumables, accessories and equipment to thousands of independent garages, national chains and retail customers.

Its business is driven by a supply chain comprising a new national distribution centre in Wolverhampton, regional distribution hubs and 194 branches across the UK.

By leveraging WSG’s expertise, exclusive supplier partnerships and purchasing power, the business said dealers can achieve “significant cost reductions across multiple preparation categories - potentially adding tens of thousands of pounds to their bottom line annually”.

WSG said early adopting dealers are saving an average of £2,107 per month through the programme and benefitting from a 20% reduction in parts sourcing time.

Darren Smith, head of Prep4Less, said: “This partnership complements our network of over 20 industry-leading prep companies, which spans diverse sectors such as parts, tyres, alloy wheels, keys, EV charging, vehicle history checks, number plates, waste disposal, and more.

“We’ve negotiated preferential terms for our dealer network from GSF Car Parts, on top of the savings that they’d make by going direct – enabling them to compete more effectively with online retailers and large car supermarkets.”

Access to the Prep4Less programme is free for WSG dealers.

Dealerships can share their requirements through a consultation with a WSG prep agent, who connects them with the appropriate partners to source the necessary parts.
