Vik Hill, the long serving chief executive of Santander Consumer UK, is retiring this week after more than two decades heading the automotive finance business.
Adam Goldhagen, currently the chief operating officer, will step in as interim CEO until a permanent successor is appointed.
Hill's journey began in 1982 with Lombard Motor Finance. He continued with First National Motor Finance after Lombard was acquired by Abbey National in 1999, and in 2005, he launched Santander Consumer Finance UK following Santander's acquisition of Abbey National.
