Vauxhall has cut the price of its petrol and electric Astra by £2,750 and £2,800 respectively, with the introduction of the new Griffin trim level.

The petrol-powered Astra Griffin is now priced from £24,795, while the Astra Electric Griffin starts at £34,955. Estate models cost £37,195.

The price reductions show Vauxhall's approach to tackling EV affordability, in addition to incentives like free public charging for a year and pledging to help customers go eletric with the Corsa, Astra and Mokka models for the exactly the same deposit and monthly payment as an equivalent petrol model when using personal contract purchase (PCP) finance.
