The Smart ForTwo Cabrio topped the list for the top 10 fastest selling used electric vehicles in July, according to eBay Motors Group.
This month’s top 10 from used EVs listed on Motors.co.uk is an eclectic mix of models, ranging from small city cars, compact SUVs and premium German saloons to light commercials.
The ForTwo cabrio versions averaged just eight days on forecourts, with speed of sale boosted by buyers looking for an affordable EV with an optimistic outlook on the UK’s current summer weather.
The hardtop coupe version averaged 15 days.
Lucy Tugby, marketing director, eBay Motors Group, said operator demand for good quality used electric vans also boosted interest in the Vauxhall Combo, which achieved the second fastest EV sales of just 11 days, with the seventh placed Nissan e-NV200 at 17 days.
Tugby said: “Although the total share of used EVs being offered for sale dipped month-on-month in July, with buyer attention firmly fixed on petrol-engined cars, dealers sold them faster with all the top 10 spending less than 26 days in stock against the overall average of 39.5 days.
“Some pricing volatility was still evident over the course of the month with notable upward movements including examples of the Volkswagen ID3 (up 20% to £35,670), Renault Zoe (up 14% to £20,395) and Skoda Enyaq (up 14% to £45,916).
“While some of the month’s notable fallers included the Mercedes-Benz EQA (down 10% to £51,381) and Audi E-Tron (down 10% to £33,074).”
