Carsa, the used car dealership group founded by former Imperial Car Supermarkets executives, has signed up with car service and MOT franchise HiQ.

Carsa sought to create a new business model that integrates car sales, vehicle maintenance, tyre fitting, and MOT testing under one roof, and it has already opened HiQ branded workshops at Halesowen and Cannock in the West Midlands, with plans for a broader national expansion.

It said this partnership represents a key growth milestone for both companies, allowing them to leverage each other’s strengths - HiQ benefits from access to prime retail locations, boosting its market reach, while Carsa gains the credibility of a trusted autocare brand with nationwide marketing reach that can attract a wider customer base.

Carsa, launched in 2020, has already expanded to eight locations - recently occupying former Inchcape Bravoauto showrooms -  and offers a wide selection of vehicles.

HiQ has a network of more than 160 car service and MOT workshops across the UK and is backed by Goodyear.

Through the partnership, Carsa will now be able to offer additional services like MOT testing and vehicle maintenance, enhancing its customer offering.

Visham Joshi, head of service at Carsa, said: “If you look at the branding and marketing that HiQ brings, it’s the perfect choice of partnership. We look forward to expanding what we do with HiQ in the future, with plans already in place to introduce more sites across the UK.

"As Carsa grows, the key will be attracting new customers.

"With HiQ, we can utilise the booking system, offer a brilliant service and point of sale, and increase the touchpoints with customers.”

Craig Sprigmore, Goodyear Retail director for UK & Ireland, added: “We’re delighted to see the first two HiQ and Carsa sites up and running in Cannock and Halesowen.

"It represents a great opportunity for both brands to present to a broader range of customers, and become more visible in the local community.

"The Carsa business model is a perfect example of how valued a premium retail experience is among motorists, and we are proud to see HiQ part of that growth.”
