Carsa, the used car dealer group founded by former Imperial Car Supermarkets executives, has doubled its portfolio of dealerships.

It has taken on showrooms in Halesowen, Bolton, Cannock and Shrewsbury that were previously occupied by Inchcape's car supermarket division Bravoauto.

The expansion means that Carsa now has a presence across the north of England, from Leicestershire and Yorkshire to Lancashire and County Durham, plus an outlier at Southampton.

Former Imperial Cars commercial director Jon Churcher, sales director Mike Hawkins and sales support manager Kelly Beattie founded Carsa in 2020, although Beattie has since ceased to be a director.

"Increasingly, consumers are looking for reliable, eco-friendly used cars as an alternative to expensive new electric vehicles," said Churcher in Carsa's latest strategic report filed with Companies House accounts that showed 2022/23 revenues had reached £30 million and a £76,999 operating loss.
