TrustFord has been honoured as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Women by Great Place to Work, after being ranked 46th in the super large organisation category.

The group’s commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace is evident through various initiatives and measures implemented to support their colleagues. A dedicated chat group for women within the company promotes open communication and support, while senior women mentor others through a programme designed to enhance their skills and confidence.

Additionally, TrustFord has established network groups, including DrivingWomen+, to further its dedication to diversity and inclusion.

Significant progress has been made in reducing the gender median pay gap at TrustFord, now at 2%, down from 10.18% in 2017. The company’s focus on retaining female talent has also shown positive results, with female retention improving from 76% in January 2023 to 82% by December 2023.

Stuart Mustoe, chief executive of TrustFord, said: “We’re so proud to be recognised as one of the Best Workplaces for Women. This recognition is a testament to the commitment of the TrustFord team in providing an engaging and successful environment for all colleagues.”

The 2024 UK’s Best Workplaces for Women List includes employers whose colleagues have reported to Great Place To Work UK that their workplace is inclusive and equitable for all. The list features 330 companies dedicated to ensuring gender balance, removing career advancement barriers for women, and creating environments where all employees can thrive.

Sharon Ashcroft, HR director at TrustFord, (pictured) added: “Being recognised as one of the UK's Best Workplaces for Women by Great Place to Work is a testament to our ongoing efforts to create an environment where all colleagues feel valued and supported. I am immensely proud of the progress we have made and the programmes we have implemented to support our female colleagues. I would like to thank the TrustFord family for playing their part in making TrustFord one of the Best Workplaces for Women in the UK.”

Benedict Gautrey, managing director of Great Place To Work UK, said: “Workplaces are only great if they’re great for all employees. For seven years, the UK’s Best Workplaces for Women List has been paving the way by tackling discrimination, removing barriers to women’s career advancement, and challenging taboos around subjects like menopause and endometriosis.

“Importantly, each of the companies on the list have been commended by their own female employees through anonymous feedback, highlighting that their workplace goes above and beyond to ensure women are treated fairly in terms of recognition, training, and promotion opportunities. It’s fantastic to once again see a wide spread of sectors and organisational sizes appearing on our Best Workplaces for Women List this year – congratulations to all!”
